Dear visitor,

Thank you for visiting our web site and we hope you enjoy your stay. My name is Regina Maloney and I am the lead teacher for the elementary classroom and co-owner and director of Sky's The Limit Montessori. Our classroom is a bit reminiscent of the old fashioned, one room school house in that the children range from six to twelve years of age and they are taught grace, courtesy, and manners in conjunction with their academic studies. However, that may be where the simalarities stop. I do not run a one person show here in the classroom. Many wonderful and talented people help make this type of environment not only possible but successful.

The children are raised to be independent workers, choosing the order of the required work for the day and then moving on to "free choice" work which they select. In addition to the normal studies,which may include reading, writing, spelling, math, social studies, science, and penmanship, all the children participate in music class. Mrs. Carolyn is with us to give classroom support. She works one on one with our students to help them with their reading and spelling, get caught up on missed work due to sickness, helping give spelling tests, and other tasks which need to be performed when working with so many ages and skill levels.
